ABOUT NINS
The National Institute for Newman Studies is the result of the collaborative efforts of the National Venerable John Henry Newman Association (VJHNA) and the Congregation of The Oratory of St. Philip Neri in Pittsburgh, a foundation of Newman's religious community.

The Institute, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a smoke-free facility that houses the administrative headquarters of NINS and the VJHNA, the editorial office of the Newman Studies Journal, housing for the Newman scholarship recipients, and the Newman Research Library. NINS is governed by a Board of Trustees in consultation with a Board of Advisors.

One of the goals of NINS is to become a valuable resource to Newman scholars around the world. A unique feature that NINS will provide is the Newman Knowledge Kiosk. The kiosk will be used to digitize and store all of Newman's originial manuscripts, which has never been done before. This technology was developed by engineers at aseEdge.com who trained at Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh. As a comprehensive database of his works, the Newman Knowledge Kiosk will allow scholars to access and cross-reference the Newman corpus anytime and any place, thereby revolutionizing the field of Newman Studies.
